My name is Lorna and I am the founder of Sleek.ie – your one stop shop for shapewear, quick fix fashion accessories and adult toys – yes you did read that correctly.... keep reading...!

Back in 2006, I had my first child. Like most women, I was looking forward to getting out of my maternity clothes and back into my jeans. Unfortunately my old faithfuls refused to go up above my thighs so I decided a shopping spree was in order and headed off happily for some well-deserved retail therapy. I arrived home disillusioned and upset. Where was my body gone? I was used to being a normal size 10, clothes weren't an issue for me and until now I had no idea how lucky I was. I had now found myself as the newfound owner of a muffin top, and a rather large one at that. A year on, I had a wedding coming up and I was dreading it. I hadn't seen most of these people since having my baby and I was having trouble finding a dress that I didn't look pregnant or lumpy in. My wonderful sister came to my rescue with my very first piece of Shapewear. While it was a bit of a struggle to get it on I was delighted with the results. Here was the flat tummy I remembered of old, my shapely curves and my big boobs sculpted into an enticing cleavage. YAY, I was back and so began my love of Shapewear and the seed of Sleek.ie was sown!

SO here I am, 2 years on from when Sleek.ie ventured into internet land. I’m a mother, wife and owner of a knicker shop, as my kids call it. My life is fairly normal and my day to day consists of school runs, tweeting, packaging orders, cooking, cleaning and pretending to iron so I can watch Dr Phil! But like most women, I wanted MORE. What else can Sleek.ie sell I pondered one day…..Ahh yes, SEX TOYS!!

Yep, Sleek.ie is now not only stocking shapewear and Magic Body Fashion, I have also taken a leap into the world of dildos, vibrators (both male and female), cock rings and smartballs! (Don’t worry, I had no idea what these were either!) This may seem strange but I have been known to preach about the importance of a good sex life but I really dislike sex shops and online shopping for toys. This is mainly because I get distracted by the more, ahem, “realistic” toys and curiosity in these places sometimes isn’t the best idea! I also find the range is so large, half my day is spent scrolling around sites wondering what the hell these contraptions are for!

All the toys on Sleek.ie are from a German company called Fun Factory. I was attracted to them as their toys are very high quality, innovative, very funky to look at and best of all THEY WORK! Their motto is “LOVE YOURSELF” and it’s one I wholeheartedly agree with. How can you expect someone else to please you if you haven’t yet discovered how to please yourself? Sex is important when you are in a relationship but what some women don’t realise is that it’s equally important if you’re not. So forget relationship status, take control and spice up your own life! There is always room for improvement when it comes to sex and Sleek.ie is here to help!

I have kept the range of toys small on purpose as I didn’t want it to be off putting to people who wouldn’t ordinarily shop for adult toys.
